REGENERATIVE THERAPY
Your body already knows how to heal. PRP helps it work harder where it hurts most.
Platelet-rich plasma therapy uses a concentrated sample of your own blood to calm inflammation and support tissue repair in worn joints, tendons, and spinal structures no foreign medication, no rejection risk.

PLATELET CONCENTRATION
Why the prep method matters as much as the injection
- Whole blood baseline
- Single-spin PRP ~2x
- Double-spin PRP ~4-5×
WHAT IS PRP
A concentrated dose of your own healing biology
A small blood sample drawn just like a routine lab test - is spun to separate and concentrate platelets, the cells that release the growth factors your body naturally uses to fight inflammation and repair tissue. That concentrated plasma is then injected precisely into the area causing your pain.
- 01 Blood is drawn
A small, routine sample is taken from your arm, the same as a standard lab draw.
- 02 Double-spin preparation
The sample is processed twice a gentle spin followed by a stronger one - concentrating platelets to roughly 4-5 times normal levels. This takes about 15-30 minutes.
- 03 Guided injection
The concentrated PRP is injected into the target joint or spinal structure, often with ultrasound or X-ray guidance for accuracy. Most visits take about an hour.
WHO PRP CAN HELP
Conditions we treat with PRP
PRP is used for chronic, degenerative, and inflammatory pain that hasn't responded well to rest, medication, or physical therapy.
JOINTS
Joint arthritis
Osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, shoulder, and other weight-bearing or high-use joints.
TENDONS
Chronic tendon pain
Tennis elbow, rotator cuff irritation, and gluteal or Achilles tendon pain that has lingered for months.
SPINE
Wear-and-tear spinal pain
Facet joint pain, sacroiliac (SI) joint pain, and certain disc-related and nerve-related back or neck pain.
PRP VS. CORTISONE
How PRP compares to a steroid shot
Steroid injections tend to relieve pain quickly, but that relief often fades within weeks to a couple of months and repeated steroid use can weaken tissue over time. PRP works more gradually, but for many conditions the relief lasts substantially longer.
| Feature | Cortisone (Steroid) | PRP (Double-Spin) |
|---|---|---|
| ONSET | Fast often within days | Gradual noticeable over several weeks |
| TYPICAL DURATION | A few weeks to a couple of months | Often builds over months, lasting up to a year or more |
| REPEATED USE | Can weaken surrounding tissue over time | Made from your own blood, no cumulative tissue risk |
| SOURCE | Synthetic anti-inflammatory medication | Your own concentrated platelets and growth factors |
RECOVERY
After your injection
- Some soreness is normal. Mild swelling or stiffness at the injection site for a few days is expected it's part of the healing response.
- Ice and acetaminophen (Tylenol) are usually recommended for comfort.
- Avoid anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen or naproxen for a short period unless otherwise directed they may blunt the healing effect.
- Improvement is gradual. Many people notice benefit over several weeks, with continued improvement over a few months.
SAFETY
Is PRP safe?
Because PRP is made from your own blood, allergic reactions and rejection are extremely rare. The most common side effects are temporary pain, swelling, or stiffness at the injection site. As with any injection, there is a small risk of infection or bleeding.
PRP has a strong overall safety record and does not carry the systemic effects sometimes associated with repeated corticosteroid injections.
- No foreign medication
- Low rejection risk
- Image-guided precision
IS PRP RIGHT FOR YOU
Let's find out together
PRP may be a good option if you have chronic joint or spine pain and want to explore a natural, longer-lasting alternative before considering surgery. Results vary from person to person, and PRP isn't the right fit for every condition the best next step is a consultation where we review your history, imaging, and goals.
Research on knee osteoarthritis, chronic tendon injuries, and spinal facet, SI joint, and nerve-related pain supports PRP's longer-lasting relief compared with steroids, and higher-concentration, double-spin PRP is linked to stronger, more durable results.
